Loureen Downes (Ph.D., APRN, FNP-BC)

Dr. Loureen Downes, a certified family nurse practitioner serves as the CEO of Smart Healthcare PA. Throughout her illustrious career, spanning 26 years as a family nurse practitioner, she has played integral roles in various clinical settings, such as primary healthcare, emergency departments, cardiac rehabilitation, and critical care. She holds board certification as a family nurse practitioner and her primary care practice emphasizes lifestyle behaviors and chronic disease management. Dr. Downes earned her Ph.D. in nursing from the University of Connecticut and completed her MSN as a nurse practitioner at Florida Atlantic University. Her leadership and expertise have significantly contributed to the field of healthcare and nursing education.
